The Millwork Phase began on June 15, 2021 with temporary re-installation of the kitchen cabinets. These are being temporarily reinstalled so that the Kitchen ceramic tile flooring can be installed. The countertops on these floor cabinets will later be replaced with new tops. We will also get a new sink and faucet, but the plumbers will have to connect the water first.
The cabinet-maker was back on June 22 to perform some more preparation work on the kitchen base cabinets ands countertops. He removed the west countertop which we intend to match to the new east countertop. He also removed all of the wall backsplash paneling in preparation for the white tile backsplash we envision.
The new Kitchen matching countertops were delivered and installed on June 24. An underhung stainless steel sink was also installed. It is now ready for the plumbers to install the hot water heater, hot and cold water connections and faucet.
On June 25, the restroom countertops were installed in both restrooms. Later the plumbers installed the sinks and faucets. The electrician installed the temporary wall sconces, so we can get a good idea of the final appearance of the restrooms.
The Millwork Phase was completed on July 8 with installation of the bottom of the Kitchen sink cabinet.
