Prayer Requests

“God will do nothing but in answer to prayer. Whether we think of, or speak to, God, whether we act or suffer for him, all is prayer, when we have no other object than his love, and the desire of pleasing him.” – John Wesley
You can request a prayer (1) in person during the prayer time at any worship service, (2) through a prayer request card available in the seat-back pocket at any worship service, (3) during any of the regular prayer groups mentioned below or (4) at the church office. You can also submit a prayer request by email clicking on the blue button below.

Prayer Groups

Centering Prayer

Mondays at 7:30pm – 8:30pm, Sanctuary

Centering Prayer
Be still and know that I am God. - Psalm 46:10

In our busy world, taking time to slow down, be quiet and listen for the divine can be hard. Setting aside time to reconnect with yourself, and your relationship with God can set the tone for the whole week ahead. Join us on Monday evenings at 7:30pm for Centering Prayer.

What is Centering Prayer?

Centering Prayer is a contemplative silent prayer practice. We experience God’s presence in us, and around us as we move closer to God, to the Divine.

Who is this for?

Everyone is invited. While this is a Christian practice, people of all faiths are welcome. We believe that God’s presence is in each person.

What can I expect?

We begin our time together with a spiritual reading, followed by 20 minutes of silence. Next we take time for reflective discussion. We end our time together by praying together.

What else do I need to know?

Dress comfortably. Silence your cell phones.

Morning Prayer

Tuesdays from 9:30 am – 10 am, in the Sanctuary Building*

Prayer Together
For where two or three are gathered in my name, I am there among them. - Matthew 18:20

We come together to pray, and encourage each other as we share our own prayers as well as prayers for our families, our church, our community, our state, nation and the world.

Who is this for?

Everyone is welcome.  Come as you’re able.

What can I expect?

A brief service following the Order for Morning Praise and Prayer from the United Methodist Hymnal. This service includes singing, prayer and scripture readings. *We may meet outside in the Memorial Outdoor Sanctuary when the weather is nice. Contact our pastor, Peter Castles, for information about how to join in via a Zoom meeting.
