Cedar Park First United Methodist Church
Finish Plumbing Phase

On June 23, 2021, the Finish Plumbing phase began with the delivery of a fair-sized pile of plumbing fixtures, mostly new toilets, and assorted fittings and a bi-level drinking fountain. We are apparently not able to re-use the restroom sinks and faucets since they do not meet the current Cedar Park code, even though the fixtures were relatively new (2018). On June 24th the plumbers had an expanded crew onsite to install the toilets, the urinal, the bi-level drinking fountain and the sink water supply shutoff valves. On June 25, the plumbers blitzed in the restroom sinks and faucets as well as the faucet in the kitchen sink. They also connected these up to the water supply now that our sewer line has been approved by the CoCP inspector.

Part of the June 25 plumbing blitz was installation of a small hot water heater. This unit was supposed to go in the mop closet, but apparently it wouldn’t fit, so they put it in the attic.

The mop closet door knob was installed on June 26. There are still extra components in the mop closet to be installed somewhere.

The plumbers were back again on July 1. Aaron got the bi-level drinking fountain working now that the electrical supply was in. He also installed the faucet in the Mop Closet. I am also giving the plumbers credit for installing the handrails in the restroom stalls and the mirrors, but I think that another subcontractor actually did that work.
