The Framing Phase began on Saturday, April 17, 2021. A crew arrived with metal wall studs and some wooden 2x4s. They began building the interior walls which define the new, renovated restrooms in our design. They used special fasteners to secure the metal sole plates to the concrete floors. Then they added the upper plate and finally the wall studs. The metal studs are lighter than the equivalent wooden studs and they are probably a lot cheaper considering the recent rise in lumber prices. The space for the bi-level drinking fountain is floor to ceiling rafters at least 10 feet tall, maybe 12 feet.
